Tour Description
27th July - 31st July 2026 The Pennines are affectionately known as the "Spine of Britain" and with good reason. They sit proudly, stretching from Derbyshire right up to the Scottish Borders and act as a natural barrier between east and west. The Pennine way itself is the oldest national long distance walk in the UK. Established in 1965 and totalling some 268 miles. Fortunately, we won't be walking it... Starting near the Derbyshire village of Edale, we will follow the range rather than the walking route all the way to Kirk Yetholm in bonny Scotland. Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria, Northumberland and Scotland are all on the list and will steadily be ticked off as we head north along the varied and rocky tracks this range is known for. There will be water crossings, rocky climbs, slippy descents, open moorland and dense forest along the way, so we're confident there will be something for everyone. What you will need. ✅️ Off road biased tyres and full size spare ✅️ Recovery points front and rear ✅️ Camping and cooking equipment ✅️ Method of keeping food and water fresh ✅️ Suitable footwear and clothing ✅️ Ideally a CB radio What's included. ✅️ 5 days of the very best tracks and trails along the full length of the Pennine range ✅️ 4 nights camping at a mix of "wild" and serviced sites ✅️ Fully insured, supported and guided throughout ✅️ Fully equipped support and lead vehicle ✅️ Handheld radios if required The cost for this tour is £440 per vehicle
